[srslte-users] SIM-interface?

Well, the legal issues are in the hands of the person that uses the stuff, like with OpenLTE, OpenBTS and all the similar SDR stuff. I also do not see  big difficulties in feeding some numbers to a SIM and waiting for the responses, but I am not a coder, so I won’t be able to do this on my own. In fact it could be almost as simple as gluing already existing pieces of software together :)

Hi Ralph,

Thanks - great to hear of people using the code and trying it out.

We don't have immediate plans to integrate an interface to a real SIM. I certainly think it's possible and wouldn't be too difficult to add in but we also have to be wary of any possible legal issues around trying to attach an uncertified device to a commercial network.

able to find my providers network at once, the UE tried to register and of
course failed. Impressive work!! With a real SIM it would be able to use a
real network...
