[srslte-users] Elision-unlock segmentation fault

Hi all,

This post is kind of an extension of a previous post of mine from December. http://www.softwareradiosystems.com/pipermail/srslte-users/2016-December/000648.html

I have been using a i7-6770HQ (Skylake) processor for my srsLTE/srsUE computer and have been getting elision-unlock segmentation faults. This is no surprise as a lot of people using a lot of different applications have been running into the same issue with Skylake and Broadwell processors.

The faults use to happen very infrequently, maybe two or three times in a day. It was tolerable, all I had to do was restart srsUE and most of the time, things started working again. Recently however, I have been running into the segmentation fault five or six times within a few minutes! I am currently using the most recent version of srsLTE/srsUE next that was available this morning on github (02-21-2017).

Does anyone else here use a Skylake or Broadwell processor and have noticed a more frequent display of the elision-unlock segmentation fault?

If you have one of these processors, do you just restart srs too or have you found a more elegant solution?

Thanks,
Pat
