[srslte-users] RRC_STATE_RELEASE_REQUEST if UE is not used for around 6 seconds

Hi srsLTE,
first, I updated and tested the new release of srsLTE, and seems to behave
better than the previous version. I can achieve now full speed on DL and UL
with 25 PRBs, and the signal and data transmission is pretty stable.
Great job!
I also noticed a nasty behavior: If I don't use the UE connected to srsenb
for more than about 6 seconds, the RRC layer request a release. I found the
trace in the log which says:
> 03:09:56.154342 [RRC ] Warning User rnti=0x46 expired Activity deadline:
> 10:8875>10:0 us
It seems that if data traffic does not flow for more than a certain
timeout, the eNB automatically request a RELEASE to the core network. If I
perform a speed test or navigate through the internet then the connection
stays up and everything behaves smoothly.
See srsenb/src/upper/rrc.cc, procedure rrc::ue::is_timeout() (should be
around line 791).
Cheers,
Kewin R.
