[srslte-users] Handsets unable to see enodeb

Hello!
I downloaded the latest srsLTE which to my delight compiled and installed perfectly. Using an Ettus B200 I run srsepc first then srsenb. The S1AP setup succeeds. Everything seems to work fine but neither a BLU NEO nor LG K7 (both unlocked) are able to detect the ENodeB.
This is running on an i5-7600k (quad core, 3.8GHz), 32GB with Centos7
I have tried variations on these parameters within enb.conf:
TX and RX gain (40 to 70)earfcn (various, in bands 2,4,7,12,17 what the handsets use)MCC/MNC (the default 001/01 and "real" looking MCC(310) with various MNC)nof_prb (wouldn't let me use 6, so have tried 15 and 25)
Neither handset ever sees "00101 4G" which is what I expect it to see.
Can anyone shed any light on what sort of thing to look for, or what parameters to adjust? Something about the waveform generated by my setup isn't passing muster with two different handsets. I am not even looking for high speed download. I just need it to discover the network. Thanks in advance.
(p.s. I couldn't see how to search an archive of this mailing list, otherwise would have done so)
