[srslte-users] Sounding reference signal

Dear srsLTE community,

I am working on Zadoff-chu sequences in order to get an estimation of how
far is the UE from the eNodeB, in other words, I am interesting in getting
a more accuracy timing advance estimation.

Our first approach was to used the random access preamble to calculate the
timing advance, but the resolution in distance is not as good as our
desirable value. For this reason, I have thought about using the sounding
reference signal, which are based on zadoff-chu sequences.

As far as I know, the sounding reference signals are implemented in the
code, but when the srsenodeb and srsue are executed I did not see anything
about the use of this signal.

In addition, I've realized that within the sib2 configuration, it exists a
parameter,srs_ul_cnfg->present, which enable the srs configuration. But
this parameter is 0, so there is no configuration.

Any help to find how enable the sounding reference signal will be really
appreciated.
