Dear SDR hackers,
Too late as a Christmas gift but still on time for the holiday break,
especially for those hacking at 36c3 (we know it is the last day)!!
We're pleased to announce the last 2019 edition of srsLTE, version 19.12.
19.12 includes significant improvements in the RRC reestablishment, cell
measurement and report procedures in srsUE in order to make it more
robust in mobile scenarios.
The eNB has received some serious refactoring work in order to prepare
the scheduler for carrier aggregation.
We've continued to make more and more 5G-NR extensions publicly
available. This release primarily adds the RRC and NGAP ASN1
packing/unpacking libraries, as well as further RLC and PDCP features.
For NB-IoT we've added cell search procedures and NPBCH code.
The release also adds some support for LTE Sidelink, namely the
synchronization signals and broadcast channel.
Just very recently we've reformatted our entire code with the existing
clang-format style in order to have a more concise experience when
browsing the repository.
As always, we've fixed a bunch of bugs and worked on stability and
performance on all parts of the software suite.
Happy hacking and enjoy the release.
The srsLTE team
