Hi Nehemiah,
Your UE tries to reconnect using the Tracking Area Update procedure, which is not yet supported. Look for this warning in your logs:
> 16:17:42.456866 [NAS ] [W] Warning: Tracking Area Update Request messages not handled yet.
It’s not clear why your UE persistently tries TAU. Without any reply from the EPC, your UE repeats the TAU request over and over and is stuck in that state. As a temporary work-around, the EPC can reject the TAU request. This will make the UE re-attach with the initial attach procedure. I’ve pushed a patch to this branch: https://github.com/mrlnc/srsLTE/tree/tau_reject
Again, this is just a quick fix to make your UE usable. You’ll notice the short loss of connection. Let me know if that works for your UE.
Grüße,
Merlin

I am currently stuck with allowing the phone to surf into the internet while sniffing the packets between the epc and enb using mac-lte-framed/s1ap protocol. I am currently using Samsung s8+ as the UE, while running the commands srsepc and srsenb respectively, I have also masqueraded the interface each time I run the setup. I noticed that the s8+ has the Software Radio Systems LTE as the network operator but I cannot configure why the phone is unable to surf the web.

Just to double check besides the current issue, with srsLTE, the UE isn't able to call or SMS right? I also utilise Wireshark to sniff for packets such as using mac-lte-framed/s1ap, I have tried using pdcp protocol, but wasn't able to achieve anything.
