Hey Allan,
First I would ensure you are running with your CPU in PERFORMANCE mode as
follows:
for f in /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu[0-9]*/cpufreq/scaling_governor ; do
echo performance > $f
done
Second, you may want to not using a VM as this could cause unforeseen
issues.
