[srslte-users] Compilation issue

8GB RAM should be enough, but it depends on how many cores you are using
for compilation and what other apps you have open. If you use 8 cores, the
memory usage spike will be more noticeable. We will try to address this
issue in future releases.

When you say "froze completely", did the laptop eventually recover and
resumed the compilation of the remaining files? If so, the problem is not
the RAM usage, but the fact that those files take a while to compile. If
that's the case, and you have enough memory to spare, try calling make with
more jobs/cores to reduce total compilation times.
