Dear SDR hackers,

We hope everyone is safe during these difficult times. Here at SRS, our
team is now completely distributed and working remotely across Cork,
Dublin, Barcelona and Kiev but we continue working to build upon and
improve the srsLTE suite.

Since mid-2017, we've followed a quarterly release cycle for srsLTE.
This regular schedule provides predictable, stable updates for the
community. Prior to each release, we integrate new features and carry
out extensive testing of the software suite. However, as the suite has
grown, so too has the level of integration and testing required for each
new release.

So, starting this year, we've decided to move instead to a biannual
release cycle. This approach will target new releases in April and
October each year so the next srsLTE release will be 20.04, followed by
20.10 later this year. (Yes, this is a blatent plagiarisation of the
Ubuntu release cycle). With this new approach, we hope to align releases
with our most productive periods each year, allowing us to provide more
complete feature sets with each release along with higher levels of
stability.

We look forward to seeing what you can achieve with srsLTE in 2020!
Happy hacking.
The srsLTE team
