[srslte-users] ZeroMQ failure to connect.

Hi all,

I’ve successfully built and run srsLTE ZMQ on Ubuntu 18.04 in a virtual machine with VMWare Fusion and Hyper-V.

Although I did encounter problems while running make and starting enb/ue with zmq frontend in VMs. When starting enb/ue, they were randomly crashing with “Killed” message with no further logs (debug level).

Turned out the build issue was due to insufficient CPUs on the VM, and the enb/ue run issue due to insufficient RAM. Once I increased resources (4 core/8 Gb RAM), it built and run ping example fine.

For info, please find attached build commands I used.

Hope it helps.

Regards,
Igor
