[srslte-users] UE shows errors when fixed DL MCS is set at eNB

Hi srsLTE team and users ,

I’ve playing with the new release 20.04 of srsLTE. Everything seems great, exept for a problem that I encountered when I set a particular option on the eNB config file.
So I’m writing to you as a sanity check, to be sure that this is not only my problem but can be replicated by others. 

The error appears only from the UE side, when the option pdsch_mcs is set to a positive value (14 is the latest value I tried; I tried few other values but I can’t recall exactly which ones). Instead, changing pusch_mcs seems to be working fine.

The error I’m getting from the UE is the following:

/home/corrado/srslte/lib/src/mac/pdu.cc.207: Corrupted MAC PDU (read_len=49, pdu_len=7)

I’m compiling from source using the last commit on main branch. I’m running srsue and srsenb on ubuntu 18.04, using USRP b210 boards with UHD-3.15.LTS.
Are you able to replicate this issue? Of course I’m available to perform more tests if needed.
