[srslte-users] Painful attempt to install on Atom

Dear all,

After trying (and failed) to compile on Atom (previous message), I tried to
install via ppa, following the instructions here
https://docs.srslte.com/en/latest/general/source/1_installation.html

This brought me to the error: “E: Unable to locate package srsran”

Looking at the page
https://launchpad.net/~softwareradiosystems/+archive/ubuntu/srsran seems
that the package name is still srslte, therefore I tried to install with:

sudo apt-get install srslte -y

This took me a little further, but after trying to start srsenb I got the
error “Illegal instruction”… any idea of what I am doing wrong? Is that
just an incomplete update on names?

On Intel Core i5 I did build successfully with not too many issues, both on
Ubuntu 18 and 20, but on Atom E3845 has been like trying to cross a swamp…

Considering that I saw some comments that an Atom might anyway be not
enough to run srsenb, am I better to just give up?

Thanks
