Three cells can be distinguished from spreading the SIB on slightly different frequencies, six cells are possible due to spreading the group of another three ones in the time domain. So I guess it has to do with this...

Subject: [srslte-users] Maximum cells on same frequency
Hi,
is there are a reason why e.g. in the example pdsch_ue the maximum amount of different cells on the same frequency recognisable by srsRAN is 3?
Is this a restriction, because it will not happen in the real world or is there another reason?
Many thanks in advance.
Regards,
Dom
