[srsran-users] How to connect UE to a specific cell

Hi Johann,
yes, you can restrict the cell search via |phy.force_N_id_1| or
|phy.force_N_id_2|.
Setting |phy.force_N_id_2| (i.e. selecting one of three possible PSS
sequences) will work in presence of other stronger cells as long as they
have different |N_id_2|.
Restricting the |N_id_1| (i.e. selecting a SSS sequence), however, comes
with the following caveat:
|srsue/src/phy/search.cc|
|/* Note that srsran_ue_cellsearch_scan_N_id_2 only finds the strongest
cell for a given N_id_2/PSS within the search * window. A cell with the
desired SSS can be occluded by other cells with the same PSS, if their
PSS is stronger and * within the same search window. */ |
Best regards,
Robert
