[srsran-users] Using srsRAN for mobile caravan intercommunication

I'm working on a TV production where 6 vehicles will be travelling over
large distances. The 6 vehicles have several cameras mounted on them, and
one of the vehicles will be the producer with an image mixer which receives
all the different cameras and can cut between them.

We're in the process of thinking about what's the best way for
intercommuncation and to send the video from the different cars to the
producer vehicle. The distance between the vehicles will not be very long
(+/- 600 meters). The video streams are 1080p h.264 streams.

I dabbled with srsRAN when it was named srsLTE, and came to think of this
project again today.

What would it take to set this up using srsRAN, both from a technical
standpoint and cost wise? I currently have a bladeRF x40. Would that be
usable for the base station? My ideal solution would be raspberry pi's +
limesdr's on the other five vehicles, and that they would form an ethernet
network. But is that doable, and if so, how stable would that be?
