Hi joe joe,

 >I am trying to connect a carrier unlocked Samsung Galaxy A22 to the 5G
SA network following the application
note(https://docs.srslte.com/en/latest/app_notes/source/5g_sa_COTS/source/index.html),
but I haven't been able to successfully connect it. The COTS UE can see
the network since the test PLMN(99970) shows up, but when the network is
selected the phone never attempts a rach connection.

I get the same behaviour using an (Exynos) S22. I have a b205mini-i with
an external GPSDO (which I note needs longer than 300ms to lock).

I see that your conf enables the on board GPSDO:

device_args = clock = gpsdo

I had thought that having the on-board GPSDO
<https://www.ettus.com/all-products/gpsdo-mini/> vs the external GPSDO
may help with some of the devices that can't RACH.

Can you confirm the GPSDO signal is being picked up? I only get
confirmation when it doesn't work though the b205mini-i has (on the
board, see through a gap) green LED indicators as well:

/home/chris/dev/sdr/srsran/22.10/srsRAN/lib/src/phy/rf/rf_uhd_imp.cc:833:
Could not lock reference clock source 3000. Sensor: ref_locked=false

I also note that when the GPSDO is connected that doesn't necessarily
mean the signal itself is locked. I have a Leo Bodnar GPSDO which has
LED indicators that turn red when it is locked on to enough satellites.
Though perhaps the UHD driver is better able to determine this for the
on board one.
